Mentorship and networks for young founders, startups and small and medium enterprises in both countries.
Most young founders in India and South Africa fail for the same reason: not a bad idea, but no room to walk into. No one to ask whether the numbers are sane, no one who has already made the mistake, no buyer who will take a first meeting.
INDSAF Young Entrepreneurs exists to supply that room. It pairs founders and owner-managers with people who have built something in the other market, and it does so in both directions, because a Durban founder trying to reach Bengaluru and a Pune founder trying to reach Johannesburg have the same problem in mirror image.
What it does
The work
Mentorship
Founders, startups and small and medium enterprises matched with experienced operators in their sector. Working sessions on the real questions: pricing, hiring, distribution, regulation and when to stop.
Networking and community
A standing community of like-minded founders and owner-managers across both countries, so the second meeting is easier to get than the first.
Startup events
Pitch sessions, founder roundtables and sector meetups held in both countries, and jointly where the market makes that worthwhile.
Market entry support
Practical grounding for a founder looking at the other market for the first time: who to talk to, what the rules are, and what usually goes wrong.
Both directions
It runs each way
Every INDSAF programme is bilateral by design. Neither country is the default origin.
India to South Africa
Indian founders and SMEs reaching South African customers, distributors and co-founders, with mentors who have already built there.
South Africa to India
South African founders and SMEs reaching one of the world's largest markets, with mentors who understand its scale, its states and its regulation.
